Default 12 String Capos

Been working on this for a while amongst other things capo-wise.
That's why I've been so quiet!
The Newport version has been developed with help from a number of 12 stringers...
The AGF code to get your name engraved foc is still in operation.

I just came here to post about this if nobody else has yet. Looks like a brilliant idea! I don't play much 12 string, but I might pick up one of the Newports when a sale comes along. Thanks for the innovation!

Thanks David... I hope it helps. I built a 12 string a few years back and I now have a Takemine (The Martin in the video is borrowed!) and they are horrible to capo!

Hey Nick! I got the email today. Finally after you teasing me with it at NAMM (what? Last year? Maybe not, maybe it just seems like it. ) it's here.

I was impressed with the prototype so I'm ordering one or two.

Can't wait!

Nick showed me the prototype and I have to say it's brilliant.

Order on its way. When I get it, I'll report back to everyone.

How does this work?

I have been very tempted to order a Heritage capo from you recently. Probably would have one but the closest place to check one out it a couple hours away up in the Netherlands.

Would it also be valid on an order for 2 capos? (12 sting and Heritage)?

Also quite interesting in said engraving. Will be very likely grabbing a Heritage after the 1st (Been gone from the forum for a bit, so I missed the original launch).

I play 12 string a lot. I also use capos much of the time as a creative tool (such an easy way to drastically change the feel and texture of a tune).

Anyway, had many capos and none worked properly. Recently bought a G7th Heritage with this compensated bar (and free engraving, thank you, Nick).

All I can say is that it works flawlessly. My Martin 12 has never been this happy!

Thank you, G7th, for such a brilliant innovation for us guitar players.

I checked out the video and this looks like a winner. I so appreciate the high quality of G7th capos and if I had a 12 string guitar I would probably add one of these to my collection. Nicely done and I look forward to more testimonials from happy customers.

Best,
Jayne

I saw the little disclaimer that this doesn't work on Rickenbacker 12 strings because the strings are reversed. That makes sense, but my two 12 strings are an old Taylor 355 and a Rick 660-12. Cuts the usefulness in half for me! LOL.

I got to try out the new G7th Newport 12 string capo and do a review. I'm sold on it!

It took me a long time to get around to ordering a couple of these, but I finally did. Non available locally, so I ordered direct.

I just tried it out on my Taylor 12 and it was perfect. No buzz, muting ot intonation issues. Works Great!

I'm going to try them out on my Gibson Les Paul 12 and my Fender XII and will report back.

Oh, I ordered a couple of the new capo boxes/pouches they have out and I like those too.

Nice job Nick!

I have one and it works as advertised. No re-tuning required to capo your 12 string.
I recommended it in a recent thread titled "12 String, String Change Question",

https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=520995

under reply #13 in that thread.
