Good music and clothing stores in Honolulu?
My family and I are about to go visit Hawaii for the first time. It’ll be nice to get away from the cold weather in Anchorage, if only for a short time. We’re going to be on Oahu, and staying in Waikiki. Are there any music stores in Honolulu any of you can recommend? I’d like to see and play higher quality instruments if possible.
I’d also like to pick up a couple of nice Hawaiian shirts, but not the garish tourist-grade shirts that tourist traps sell. Instead of rayon or polyester I’d like to get something nice made from cotton or linen. Any recommendations and directions on where to find these places? Thanks in advance. Visited Kauai just last year, haven't been on Oahu for a decade. Truth be known, even some the touristy variety stores carry a pretty good range of shirts from that creepy stretchy synthetic stuff to well-made cotton. Maybe research/explore some of these...

Hi Wade, we visited Waikiki for the first time last month and loved it.
I didn’t go to any music stores, so I can’t comment on that. But there is no shortage of clothing stores, and some very high end stuff. I picked up some nice linen shirts at Tommy Bahamas. Love them. The nice thing about the strip in Waikiki is that it is very walkable. You will find lots to choose from. Enjoy, I could go back tomorrow. Dave
