It is in many ways similar to your D18. Much lighter in weight but same tone family, though louder and in my experience, more responsive. Simple satin finish looks very plain, though next to the D18's gorgeous finish. And Martin's hold their value well, whereas Furch's don't...here in the USA. IN Europe they are highly respected. Once you play one you feel like you're getting away with something due to their much undervalued prices. Just an excellent guitar that stands up to any I have ever own and is the top for responsiveness, weight, and the fastest, smoothest neck as well. I really wish my shoulders didn't hurt in seconds with this one!!! I'll never have one with these qualities again.

You sure? Are you talking about a Furch or the Larrivee here?

Default Furch or Larrivee

UGH!!! Too many things going. YES, YOU ARE RIGHT!!! Talking about the Furch/Stonebridge. NOT the Larrivee.

Larrivee is completely different than a D-18. More like a compressed, smooth and very even tempered D-28.

My bad. Thank you for catching this. UGH.
