Default The Dark End of The Street

This is the Dan Penn/Chips Moman classic R&B song The Dark End of The Street. I first heard it instrumentally on Boomer's Story by Ry Cooder. I had just started the process of arranging it at this point. It's almost complete now, but this gives a good idea of where it's going. Open G w/low C tuning.

Best,
Howard Emerson

Beautiful Howard. You must be liking that new build more and more.
Love that tremolo. It looks like you stopped it abruptly at the end. Something you didnít like?
In any case, the finished version should be good. Great arrangement.

Hi Andre,
I do enjoy this build for a few things!

After hitting some clams I decided I had enough. Like I said this is an early work recording, and at this point Iíve got the whole arrangement figured out, including a really fine intro.

All in good time.

Howard

Dang, Howard!

That sounds really good! I love the little bit of tremolo you have and I really like the vibrato you are able to apply with your fingers. And that guitar of yours sounds good!

It's gonna be a terrific song!

Always loved that tune -- and Fender Princeton tremolo. Now I get hear them together. Lovely, even as a work in progress.
