I wish it was a joke. I really just want a hair more of relief. I guess I could just put mediums on it

How do you like that E1ss. Are there any construction differences from the E10ss, aside from finish?.
I have an E1ss Ltd. The differences are Sapele back and sides, Fishman pickup. No hard case (Hiscox case fits great though).

To the OP, mine didn't come with a key but my aftermarket one works fine.

Ok but why don't you post a pic. Not hard is it?

I FINALLY got it to catch and was able to adjust the relief. Hopefully I don’t have to do it again for a long time, or ever. Still can’t really tell what the issue is/was.

I had a similar problem with my 2016 Martin D-18, and it just took a bit of hunting and pecking with the wrench.

The ball end of these wrenches make them easier to fit in the socket if it's skewed a bit.
