Pickup for fingerstyle small body?
Looking to add a pickup to a Taylor GC-3. It is strictly fingerstyle use, and I really don't have
a need for amplification - really what I am looking for is plugging it into a looper to overlay guitar parts. Anyways, looking for something that has good, accurate sound, and not keen on models that span the sound hole just from an aesthetic view. Should have purchased a GC with the ES2 electronics, but I was convinced I'd never plug in... Suggestions for pickups that fit the bill appreciated. Thanks |

K&K mini with a offboard preamp with eq. I like the Fishman platinum pro or platinum stage.

Do you already have the looper?

I'd go with the Schatten HFN passive. Very similar in performance to the K&K except you don't have to glue anything in. Double sided tape or putty install. Easy to remove down the line if you don't want it.

I totally agree with this. They sound good too.

The HFN is really nice but isn't as full sounding as I personally like. If you want your guitar to sound a bit larger, go for the K&K.
