Default NAD! Mesa Boogie inside

1990’s Subway Rocket. Couldn’t pass it up, especially after jamming with it. So I made a cash deal and my Peavey Classic 30. This little guy at 20 watts is almost as loud as the Peavey, but it has that boogie tone I love. I’m keeping this one!

Sweet! I'm not familiar with the Subway Rocket so I looked it up. EL84s and 12AX7s. Do you play it more on the cleanish side / overdriven / or with gain?

VERY nice snag OP.

GREAT pedal board & Boogie rig.

I used to have one of those I picked up in the late 90's.

It was a great little amp, but then I decided to go digital for a while, and I sold it.

I finally went back to Tube amps in the mid 00's, and now I own 4 Boogies.

Here are my MK amps.

Left to right:

'84 MKIIC+ 60 Watt combo, '83 MKIIC 60/100 loaded head, '83 MKIIC+ Simul-Class Loaded Bubinga/Wicker Combo:

Here's my Dual Rectifier Roadster Combo on the right in this home studio pic:

It’s all about that gain of course! It I also love the clean tone of this amp. It doesn’t have the headroom the Peavey had, but it does have a great clean tone and takes my pedal board very well.

Thanks and Wow! Now that’s some great boogie amps you got there! MKIIC is the old school Petrucci tone I love so much. And that dual recto is the dream rig right there!

From what I read online, many who own this amp are sticking to them, and those who got rid of them really regret it. It truly is the little tone monster. This is the older version with no reverb.

Won’t be able to play it as loud as I did at my friend’s house, but I had the chance to play it cranked up, and through a Marshall 2x12 cab. A completely different monster!

Yea Juanito.

These amps aren't going anywhere.

Some guy hit me up on another forum cause he's seen my MKIIC+ amps, and he wanted to buy them.

I told I hadn't really kept up with the going rate of the these amps, and I told him I'd check out what people are asking.

I found that the Bubinga/Wicker loaded combos can fetch from 5K+ and up, so I said we could star from there, and see where we end up.

He said he's seen some offered for $3K and he wasn't about to pay these crazy high prices.

I said then your choise is easy.

Just buy one of those you've seen offered up for $3k.

Problem solved.

Congrats on your Rocket series MESA, they are some of my favorite Boogie Amps! I've owned a DC2 Mesa and it always gives up the goods
