Default Binding

How can I change or apply trim to my wood binding on the guitar I just finished building? All of my hardware including the bridge pins, end pin and other strap button are black.

Cool binding

a sheet of black trim may work if you can cut the trim and apply it straight.

Not sure what you are trying to do, or what condition your guitar is in.....

You just finished building this guitar? Is it bound currently? Does it have a finish on the guitar?

If the guitar is unfinished, I would think you could still route the binding channels (assuming you don't have bindings on it currently), and use black fiber bindings to get the look you want.

If the guitar is in fact completely finished and bound, then you'll need to remove the existing binding, rebind it, and refinish it....

Smile Black binding

The guitar currently has a wood binding and it is finished with 7 coats of lacquer. I think my best choice is just to live and be happy with what I have. Removing the binding and routing for another one is too much work. I don't want the guitar to be "under construction" so I can't play it.
