Default Saw a beautiful Emerald X20 12 string for sale yesterday

I was picking up a guitar at my favorite luthier's shop and saw this beautiful 12 string. It's fitted with a pickup, so I suppose it was a custom someone either traded in or put on consignment. I am not plugging this shop, but wanted to post this in case someone was looking for something like this.

Very tasty. A Krivo humbucker and an Anthem looks like a very versatile pickup combination.

The price seems a tad high, even considering the veneer and pickups, but the market will determine that, not me

Agree. Honestly I think that giant humbucker in the middle of the guitar probably will turn off more potential buyers than anything, bringing the value down, not up.

I wouldn't mind owning an emerald X-20-12, but not that one.

Funny. I’d take the Krivo humbucker over the Anthem any day of the week.

Variety is the spice of life

I'd take it except I doubt I can get them down to my price point.

I do like the Krivo on my X10 (level 2). In the words of the philosopher Kramster: "Just saying."

Oops - edited, because my fingers wrote "X20" when my head said, "X10." Sorry for any confusion - the Krivo is on my X10.

Even with a lovely koa veneer, that is a pretty "optimistic" asking price for used, given a $3300 price for the new pau ferro veneer X20-12 currently in stock.

It's interesting that the ad calls that a MAP price since they are obviously not an Emerald dealer...

Agreed - even adding $300 for the Krivo (based on current pricing for the option for the X10), and the barndoor pre-amp for the Anthem, it’s very optimistic.

I’d say something more in the $2800-$3000 range would be more realistic *if* that was the option set I wanted.

That has to be an oversight - probably their boilerplate text.
