I'm using a Music Nomad Acoustilock with Schaller strap locks on my J15. Solid.

I hate the insecurity end pin jacks cause* but I'm less perturbed by the extra holes (I always add a heel mounted strap button to my acoustics). The Brian Eastwood acoustic had the jack fitted LP style halfway around the lower bout (with a reenforcing pad fitted inside) from new, the X7 has the end pin jack fitted below centre so I added a strap button above it, the Aylward had an endpin jack mounted through the tailpiece fixing so I added another closer to the back. In each case I have Schaller strap locks. The Eastwood is the best as the position of the jack socket lets you stand the guitar against a wall without unplugging it (yes, in a corner or some other secure position...).

* they are fine the there is a jack in the socket but unless you never play the guitar unplugged....

Another vote for the Music Nomad system here. Two things to keep in mind with the MN Acousti-Loc is that you have to make sure you get the correct one for your jack thread type and second, although designed to work with the Schaller strap locks (which I don't like) you can replace the button with a different type. In my case I like the D'Addario strap buttons and strap lock system so I do that. Very happy with this setup.

This is what I do. My preferred system is Dunlop Straploks so I install the recessed mounts at both the tail block and in the neck heel. They also come in the regular "strap button" dual system but I like the recessed mounts.

Wow guys. Thanks!

I am going to buy One each of the cinch fit, Nomad and Rex and Bass piece. Funny thing about that strap jack... I asked my friend who owns a machine shop if he could make me a plastic end piece just like that but now I don't need to bug him...it's already made!

I am going to compare them all on different guitars and see who makes the most sense... Once I pair a guitar up with a strap I leave it on the tailpiece for good , so all of these are good. Going shopping now. Thanks!!

Another vote for the Tapastring. I’ve been using 4 of them for a few years now and they work great, easy on and off as well.

Because the device is attached to the strap you can move the strap from one instrument to the next if you do that kind of thing. I don’t, truth be told I am a bit of a strap junky. Oh I love the smell of leather, almost as much as cedar and rosewood

Tapastring vintage jack works great on my Martin. On a few instruments I've reinforced the lower treble side bout sidewood with a block or plate and installed a jack completely independent of the end pin/strap button. On two others I've installed the jack in the tailblock below the existing end pin/strap button, again separating the two functions.

That is very cool. All my latest guitars get a second hold drilled for a straplock.
