Default Taylor 12

I have a Taylor 455 RCE. It is a rosewood 12 string. It is the style that Taylor used to make their 12's so popular. It is large, and sounds amazing. Good luck finding a 12 string to your liking,.

From what I could determine the 455 was a jumbo body from some time ago. Would that now be the Grand Orchestra (XX8) body? If that is the case, I would prefer a 12 string Taylor no smaller than the Grand Symphony (XX6) body, noted in the 2019 "Find Your Fit" guide to be a good fit for 12 string. Hopefully they will offer a GS or GO 12 string next year!

maybe check out the new Martin Grand Jumbo 12 string.
You probably won’t wonder where the bass went.

Yep, that's the one from my post (#10) above. I bet they come up more often than people here might believe.

Maybe they are referring to the 858e that is on their website? You can find it on the website but it is not on their 2020 price list:

So it appears the only available solid wood 12 strings from Taylor are currently limited to the Grand Concert small body (XX2), even though their 2019 “Find Your Fit” guide shows the Grand Symphony medium body (XX6) to be a “good fit” for 12 string. Anyway, that is all I was able to find. It will be interesting to see the price for the Taylor 12 string if/when it is available. Maybe if I start saving now...
Yeah. I definitely need to be saving too!
