Default Can you Identify this pickup?

Hi all,

Got a neat solid body nylon string from Italy. Anyone think they can ID the pickup? I thought maybe it looked distinctive enough.

Thanks!

It sure looks like an Ovation pickup to me.

Yes, definitely Ovation-like in appearance, This brings to mind that back circa 1978, a musician friend of mine had an Ovation pickup added to one of his 12-strings (a Guild) and it sounded really good amplified. The work was done locally by Al Broedesser owner of Broedesser Guitars music store (long since closed). I think the Ovation OCP1K pickup still sounds really good and it's a feature of my 2020 Adamas I 2087GT-8.

Thanks! I had had that feeling, but I couldn’t pull up anything that looked exact.

I had also heard of this practice of putting in the older Ovation units into newer guitars. The Slaman Dome I saw offers this as an option.

Much appreciated.
