Yes, as the label states: Designed in Japan Made in China. My long-gone Yamaha LL-TA TransAcoustic and Eastman EL-1 Whyte Laydie 5-string banjo were also Made In China. Although I'm a bit reluctant to admit it, IMHO China has emerged as the new Japan when it comes to manufacturing quality goods. I'd rather see a Made In Japan label in/on a good rather than Made In China but I used to feel the same way years ago when seeing Made In Japan in/on a good rather than Made In U.S.A. I call it creeping acceptance although this acceptance for me has to be earned by quality actually being built into a good regardless of where it's made.
