Default Newbie here

Hello, I am brand spankin new to the forum. I currently own two acoustic guitars, an Ibanez AW200CE and a Gibson J45, but I have a new (preowned) third one on the way; a 2016 Martin D18 which is a birthday gift to me since I will be turning 65 next month! I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida (just N of Tampa) and I hope to make some new friends on here.

Welcome to the forum. Good that you already have some nice guitars. This place is bad for the bank account, what with everyone posting about this or that amazing new (or old) guitar. Every time I think I have all the guitars I need, someone posts something else that re-kindles the GAS!

You've found a great place to hang out, porchpicker1953. Hope you will stick around and join the conversation. (For some reason, at first glance, I thought I saw an extra e in the middle of your screen name.)

Medicare!!! Whoo hoo!!!! You won't believe how much a difference it makes in your month keep-home pay! Happy birthday! Oh yeah... guitars.

Nice collection. Should keep you busy for awhile. Congrats on the D-18 and senior citizenship.

Welcome PorchP! Nice group of guitars you've got going there! There are lots of SUPER folks here. I'm retired, and AGF is with me almost every day for an hour or four! Happy Birthday!

Welcome 53 from another 53!

You got some special geetars there. Be careful about visiting the Custom Forum. It’s contagious.

Settle in. Hope you have some fun.

Default Thank you!

Well thank you folks, I already feel right at home here. And the acoustics are just part of my many guitars, as I have quite a stable of electrics including Fender, Gibson and Heritage (solid, semi and hollow). But since this is the AGF, I will stick to discussing acoustic guitar, which I really want to start playing more of. And I hope to gain knowledge along the way as well. Thanks for the warm welcome!!
