You are going to be rockin soon! Good for you!!!

Yay team

Paul, Very cool to hear your guitar will have similar markers. I saw that idea on somebody elses a while back here or somewhere else...don't recall. What I do know is that John adapted the idea, tweaked it in a few ways and I like John's best. I think your Diamonds will look sweet.

Thanks Dennis! I appreciate your kind comments. We opted for a simple fretboard but I wanted something at 12 and John was kind to accommodate me. This one won't POP off the wall like some of your gorgeous instruments, but I think it will make me smile, and that's the goal.

Here are some pictures of the neck. John surprised me with the added appointments, and certainly I think John has again surpassed my expectations.

These pics show only the first coat of shine.

John built this bridge from our choice Bois De rose. Gorgeous work. these pics show the progression from a "hunk a wood" to a very nice bridge. Cool stuff!

Default NGD (New Guitar Day) Photos

John did a magnificent job of building this guitar as well as taking great photos of it and posting those. It arrived today and is even more spectacular than I originally thought it would be. As such, a few pics on "the table".

Had to share a few:

Gorgeous guitar Mike! Seeing it on "the table" is a little disconcerting though.
You better hang onto this one...she's a keeper. Play it in good health.

Looks beyond fantastic Mike. Congrats and well done again John.

Is the headstock design something new for Kinnaird in the mountains or is this a one off for this guitar?

Thank you! I will do my best to get a sound clip up soon. It came about two hours before I took these pics and then put it back in the case. After it has had a few more hours to acclimate I'll tune it up tonight. If the sound coming out by just tapping it is any indicator, this is going to be amazing!

Thanks Doug! Ya know, I thought about that and wondered if someone might think it is going on the block anytime soon. The answer is my plan is to absolutely keep this one. Honestly, I bought and sold SOOO many guitars, I'm ready to settle into one for a long time.

Tom, regarding the headstock, this is one of John's traditional designs with the addition of the bevel at my request. The insignia is a Chinese symbol that stands for the word "Destiny"...one little way to personalize it a bit more. Thank you for the nice comments friend!
