Microphone choice

This could be posted elsewhere, but since a specific question for classical guitar, I will start here.

I have had a number of classical (and steel string for that matter) guitars set up with LR Baggs Lyric or Anthem pickups. Stellar. No complaints. But now with a Hill guitar I really want to use just a microphone. Mostly small room venues. Ultrasound amp. I have never used a microphone before.

What would you suggest as a basic choice?
