there are many tunes that I like my 6 string over my 5 string. each has a place.
Bluegrass players scoff a little at my Vega but they tend to soften when they see how much I love to sit and listen to them play and wish I could do likewise.
I just don't like fingerpicks. I use my nails and can't keep up with the Cripple Creek crowd

I was happy playing my guitars and ukuleles until one day I parked my car, unlocked and with the windows down for a while in an unsavory part of town.

Did someone take your guitars and ukuleles and leave a banjo in your car?

Being a bluegrasser for many years, I can’t help but pick on banjo players, but I wil say that if I could play another instrument, it’d be the banjo. It’s a great instrument and I have some good friends who are great banjo players and I’m envious of them. You can have a bluegrass band without a fiddle, but you can’t have one without a banjo!

I don't find that at all funny!

I am a Dobro player.

The Correct quote is :

Perfect pitch is when a banjo is thrown into a (Ok - we'll say the American term "dumpster") and lands on top of an accordion/concertina)

I hate concertinas!

Ralph Stanley, Don Reno, and Jerry Garcia were pretty good too.
