Default Avt50 vr Carvin 112Nomad

Ok I have been lookin into getting a new amp and Ive narrowed it down to these too, the price is about the same so thats not a big factor.. heres the sites

Ok so please tell me which one you think is a better deal, my style is mostly, rock,emo,metal and some alternative I guess.

Marshall, for the type of music you listed.

My oldest daughter tried one and it had a good "modern" tone. (Scooped out mids)

Not my thing but it definitely had that Marshall tone.

The nomad has a great classic rock sound. Myself, I really like the sound of EL-84's driven' to saturation. But then again that’s more of a 60's- 70's sound. The reverb and distortion (channel) leave a little to be desired IMHO.

A friend of mine has a nomad. It’s four years old he has had good luck with it.
