Default Seiko ST1100 Tuner vs. Sabine STX110 vs. Korg GT-12

Hello! I've already gone through the other threads concerning tuners, but did not find much feedback on these models.
Would like to ask your opinion! Does anyone have the above tuners and can give comments on them? (Seiko ST1100 Tuner vs. Sabine STX110 vs. Korg GT-12) I'm desperately looking for a reliable tuner that works.. (quick pitch accuracy more than anything, ping ponging needles hurt!) Not looking at the INtellTouch for right now... I'm willing to pay $$$ for the tuner if it's more accurate. Sometimes having a strong ear is such a pain in the neck...

THanks so much! I can't say how helpful this forum has been!
Have a wonderful day....

I have the original Sabine chromatic tuner and it's served me well for over 10 years. The newer models must be even better. Not sure why you don't want to consider the Intellitouch, I've heard only great things about it and the price seems reasonable. I'll probably pick one up soon.

I have tried them all and short of a Petersen there is nothing better than a Seiko ST1100, IMHO. Preferred by orchestral performers and studio pro's it is easy to use and dead accurate. I am a tuning freak (about 95% of the guitars I hear played are out of tune) and use a lot of alternate tunings and this thing works great.

bunnygirl,

I would consider the Intellitouch. It is well worth the money.

I am a "lefty" and I went into a guitar store and wanted to try the Intellitouch tuner. They gave me one and pulled a lefty Fender acoustic off the wall that probably wasn't played in years. I had that bugger tuned in like 4 minutes. For me (a relative beginner) that was amazing - I would have spent at least 10 minutes with a regular tuner.

Consider it!!

Rob

Just got my Korg GT-12, and for about half the money of the SEiko, it is very easy to use, tailored for guitar, and accurate.

I have owned 2 Seikos, but I now own and swear by the Boss stomp box tuner. I can't remember the exact model no., but it is white in color. "TU...." something, I think. It works wonderfully. You can see the mechanism from standing position, even playing in daylight. It can also double as a great mute switch live, and you can use it as a base to daisy chain effects to a 9v power source, and thus not worry about batteries for anything. The only tuner I have been utterly happy with. It is FAB!!

Thanks for the opinions guys! I too go CRAZY when i'm tuning my guitar. It drives me NUTS.. I had to buy a Korg GT-12 at the last minute cause i was heading into the studio and couldn't find the Seiko at a local store... but from what i've read, i think the seiko ST1100 looks very appealing to me. I actually found it for a bit less at
http://www.musicity.com/accessories-2.html debating on whether i should buy it because the Korg is good but i want something that's EXCELLENT.. SHARP and PRECISE... if i was gigging more i might try the boss stomper... but live, i don't really care if i'm so on tune, it's in the studio that i drive the engineer/producer mad by spending 15 minutes trying to perfectly tune my guitar... mad i'm telling you... just mad ... i need help.. are there any support groups out there for people who almost lose it trying to get their guitars in tune?

-bunnygirl...

ps. the reason i'm not going for the intellitouch is because my friend has it and generally recommends it, but says you've got to find the sweet-spot on the headstock and remember where that is... to me that's a bit troublesome, i'd rather just plug right in...
