Basically, you have a few choices with the POD.

1) use it as an effects unit. Turn off the AIR switch and run it into your amp.

2) run it into the mixing board (with the AIR switch on) and then to the PA

3) run it into a "powered PA cab" with AIR switch on and use the cab as your monitoring device.

I just made things worse didn't I? Sorry.
