Default Regal Resonators

I'm wondering if anyone has a Regal resonator and how they like it. I've come into a small windfall and thought about getting a RC-1 or RC-2, both are metal bodies with biscut bridge. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have a mahogany body reasonator. Cool bluesy sound. Needed a little tweak of the trussrod and now it plays great.

Chuck,

Wy are you noticed just Reagal. If you can, try Dean Resonator Chrome S.

I´ve tried both of them and I think the Dean is better.

I bought a Dean for a couple of years ago and I change the cone and bisquit to an original National and it sound so punching good, especially now when I restring it with .13 strings and play open G.

The cone from National costs only approx $50 complete with bisquit and it fits directly without cuttin or bending sheet.

Last summer I looked at Deans, Regals, Johnsons and another brand I can't think of right now. I didn't think much of the quality of any of them. I ended up buying a National Tri-Cone. A lot more money, but a lot better instrument.

Noflatpick,

You are quite right indeed. The Nation three-cone is better, but is it worth three or four times the price as you must pay for the Regal och Dean Resonator.

If you had so much money. OK buy it. I rather take the Dean and bought me one more Taylor.

If your going resonator Id go with the national. If I was on a really tight budget the Fender is so-so. JW
