Have a look at "Land Down Under," that Colin Hay tune.

Great fun to play/sing, and you can make it as energetic as you want. I've done it live a few times, and people seem to like it.

I'm evolving into an old jazz repertoire.

When I get Low I get High - Ella Fitzgerald 1936
That Ain't Right - Fats Waller and Ada Brown
Sweet Lovin Old Soul - I got it from Tuba Skinny
I'm Blue and Lonesome - 1930s Georgia White

Heck, the Dead has sour harmonies in their studio recordings . . . and don't get me started on CSN(and sometimes Y) live.

I'm working on a bunch including When a Man Loves a Woman and Tennessee Whiskey. Playing is the easy thing 6:8 timing, arpeggio fingerstyle. Singing is the tough part.

Starting in October, I'm taking one one one singing lessons to go along with my current one on one guitar lessons.

I just finished working on my own acoustic arrangement of "Heard It On the Grapevine". This is my video in the Show & Tell section of the forum.

How do you decide if it is a player who’s sings, or a singer who plays?
Probably by which one they do best?

'She' by Gram Parsons.

A beautiful and, IMHO, underrated song.

I once had a theatre gig playing a 3-week run of of 'Hair' and always enjoyed playing "Good Morning Starshine".

Best show I ever played until 'TOMMY' came along...

I like to leave 'em guessing.

Sittin on top of the World, Doc Watson version. Open D tuning(actually tune it up a half step to Eb) Lots happening with the fingerpicking, but the vocal is catchy, I find myself singing it all day long
