Default A quick build thread ... west coast

I sold one of my la Conner guitars before the show so I'm scrambling to make a replacement guitar.

Here is the rosette in a euro top with cocobolo, ebony and abalone

It's in a euro top

I look forward to seeing the build, John. My West Coast is opening up into a beast, a stellar guitar, especially in Open D. Both of my Kinnairds, actually!

Smile Wondered where you went....

Yay. More JK goodness to drool over.... haha

BTW, I just took the two I am taking to B.I.G. to Pat Quinn for a quick check up and both are rockin!

So, Sir, you will have my two most recent customs represented at Tom and Kathy's Texas Shindig.

I suppose selling a La Conner axe before the show is a good thing, but it may mean burning the midnight oil... or at least working late!

I can not say enough good things about your guitars I own!!!

Carry on and have FUN

Paul

Thanks for the plug Paul. I’m glad everything is working well with those guitars and I’m pleased as punch that you’re taking two to BIG. Midnight oil is running low.

Looking good John, don't you just hate it when you sell a guitar without trying. The audacity of some people.

Oh no. I am fond of audacious people. I’d be OK if I sold all my stock before the show. Not sure what I would do then. Maybe take a few old banjos and an accordion to display on that expensive table.

Cool cutaway. It appears to be both a pointed Florintine, and a rounded (Venetian?) cut! Haha. And it is very pretty, too.

Have fun

Paul

Thanks Paul. It's a cutaway for everyone. Or a cutaway for the undecided
