Bourgeois Vintage OM - Traded
Bourgeois Vintage OM. Adirondack / Mahogany. Hide glue. Fossilized ivory nut and saddle. 1 ¾” nut, 2 5/16” string spacing, 25 ½” scale. Not mint… but close. I’d conservatively say 9/10. The finish has typical swirls and there is a very small indentation (not through finish) on the top lower bout. I tried to photograph it, but you really have to look hard to see it.
It’s standard specs for their Vintage OM style, with the addition of hide glue. The frets are in good shape overall, but they do show a little wear on the first 3 (I've just added fret pics). It’s nothing that I notice while playing, however. Plenty of saddle showing if you choose to lower action. I am a home player and it’s never been out of my home. Smoke free and always in the case humidified during the dry season. This is a spectacular guitar and beautifully balanced, but my tastes have changed. I’m looking for a guitar with less treble energy. I wear hearing aids and prefer a more mellow treble with less shimmer. I’ve convinced myself that I’m more of a Gibson guy and I’d like to trade for a short scale J-35/45 style of guitar. • My first choice would be a Fairbanks F-35 or a Gibson J45 Vintage • Kopp • Walker • Gibson J45 True Vintage, New Vintage, etc. • Collings CJ-35 or CJ10-35 • I would consider an actual vintage J45, but only if I could see and play it first. Depending on the trade it could be + or – cash. Traded Shipped and PP'd Last edited by sahill; 01-08-2017 at 01:38 PM. |
