Default Nathan Salzburg Joan Shelley

Anyone know what their pickup choice is? I like their plugged in sound.

I think Joan uses a K&K for her Collings and Nathan uses 'whatever pickup' was installed when he bought his Bourgeois second hand.

Can't find anymore info than that I'm afraid!

There seems to be some videos of Nathan using an LR Baggs M1a and also often mic'ing his guitar when playing with James Elkington as a duo

Ben, thanks for the response and for sharing what you've dug up. I like your music, Nameless Gold is a powerful song.

I tried a K&K in one guitar it didn't do it for me. I've liked every sample of a Baggs Lyric I've heard, so I picked one up but have yet to install. I really want a minimally invasive, natural sounding pickup that doesn't feedback and would work for a solo sound, yet hold up in a full band - in other words, the holy grail.

What do you use? ....and ps you look oddly like Salsburg!
