Don Adams (Get Smart) was a comic genius.

As was Adam West (Batman).

As was (is) Micky Dolenz.

Gunsmoke. I didn’t watch it growing up. I think that was because my father was a Bonanza fan and both shows may have been on at the same time. Some western cable channel started showing the old ones a number of years ago and I got hooked. I definitely prefer the black and white seasons.

Everyone Loves Raymond. I only started watching it during it's last couple of seasons. Great show.

Same thing with Seinfeld - I started in Season 4 or so before I watched my first episode.
Yea, King of Queens. I still look for the reruns.

The early ones were dead serious - hard lessons on the frontier.

I may have to try a few of those. In it's day (when westerns were as dominant as detective/investigation shows are now) Gunsmoke was known as "an adult western" which may have reflected those themes.

Coincidently, James Arness was a local Twin Cities MN boy, and last summer I'd bike past his childhood home every day with my son on the way to some summer activities.

Same for me. King of Queens is a show I didn't watch until the last season or perhaps even after it was off the air. Kevin James always makes me laugh, even in his movies.

The only show I can think of that fits this bill for me is the Andy Griffith Show. As a kid I hated this boring show about a bunch of hicks.

Now I love it. Maybe because I am a boring old hick (?)

Other shows I didn't like as a kid I never came to like much really.

There are, however, some shows I used to like that I now find painful to watch, or are just not entertaining to me now.

How he managed to not screw up Fringe is beyond me. But I'm glad there was probably an adult present to reign him in.
JJ Abrams had very little day-to-day involvement with "Lost" after season one, and didn't have much of hand at all in "Fringe" other than his production company producing it.

I guess My Favorite Genie must have been on the network we didn't get where I lived as a kid in southern Oregon. I never saw that one.

I don’t recall a show by the name of My Favorite Genie either. Maybe you meant My Favorite Martian?

Lost was a show I only watched after it's full run was completed. I don't think I even saw a single episode during the run. What a great show!

Fringe was another great one which I missed the original airing but watched it all afterwards. That's one I'll watch again in a few years.
