Default Caveat Emptor

Just a heads up. There is a stunning John Kinnaird 000 guitar on Reverb. The price is pretty good - until you look deeper. As I've stated in the past, many times, not only do I provide great high-res photos when selling, I also get and expect great photos when buying remotely.

The only "damage" listed in the brief description is some side damage. It's not clearly shown and appears to be an ugly finish mark. However in one photo of the lower back, not mentioned anywhere in the listing, or when conversing with the seller, there are serious-appearing impact cracks that are not seam related. This is not disclosed until the seller is pressed for more information and no further close up or clear hi-res provided.

This is how buyer's herein get pulled into sales that are priced "too good" and don't look deeper for other damage or problems. This is simply a "public service" as I would have been happy to own this stunning guitar but not with potential serious undisclosed damage.

Sometimes it's just carelessness.
I recently contacted a craigslist seller for a Roland synth. It was like pulling teeth for the simplest of questions. After chasing around for 3 days, I passed on it.

Should this be something the moderator be made aware of so the listing could be updated?

Thanks for posting this, Steve. I've always known you as a straight shooter, and this is an admirable heads up.

Sorry, I thought you meant the classifieds. Read it too quickly. I would let the Reverb people know.
