Default loudbox Mini

i posted about this amp a few days ago. the amp works fine for the guitar side but the mic does not work. i took it apart but can't "see" anything wrong with any boards or connections. called Fishman, they want $50 to look at it then $ for shipping both ways then $ for repair. Does it make sense to just buy another Loudbox? thanks.

Does your microphone require phantom power? The mini does not provide that. Just a guess.

are you sure about that quote?

Someone else in this forum is getting one fixed, and their quote was 20 shipping flat rate 50 to fix.

look here:

https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=538488

"Yep, just got off the phone with Mike at Fishman, sent RA form, instructions for removing head from speaker cabinet, easy peasy $20 shipping both ways on me, $50 to fix everything. Can't ask for more. "

As a loudbox owner, I'd be interested to hear how this turns out, if you don't mind an update when it's all said and done.

thx!

Default great service

Great service.

Mine was a bit more, I had it use a pack and ship service going our so to Fishman was $45, repair $50, return $29. I was not repaired it was replaced. New covering way better.

Still great service.

I now own both the Mini and the Mini Charge.

Had this same problem, but because I had a great relationship with the shop where I bought it, he sent it back for me and they fixed it gratis. I just paid his shipping costs.

FWIW, mine has been perfect ever since then, about 15 months so far including a cross country move
