Pedal power supply for Helix & Boomerang III
I need an isolated power supply that will power a Line 6 HX Stomp and a Boomerang III Phrase Sampler Looper pedal. Looking at the Strymon Zuma R300, but I’m wondering if there is something else that you’d recommend. There will also be a Sunnaudio Stage DI and a two button midi Aux switch on the board. I’ll also need it to fit under a Pedaltrain Metro 24 board.
Thanks in advance!

Not sure what voltages those run at but check out the Cioks range and find the one that gives you the number and voltages you need. Serious quality gear.
I bought the DC10 some years back as it is one of the very few that gives a 15v option to power my PZ Deluxe. Clean and quiet.. only issue if you consider it is one, they are a pinch on the heavy side. Kris

Same here. Cioks DC10 to run my whole pedalboard with a Rang III and Tonebone PZ plus multiple 9V pedals and a 12V as well.

I'm also curious and look forward to hearing your signal chain setup in the Stomp once you have it dialed in how you like.
I'm thinking of downgrading my Helix Floor that I only use for electric work to a Stomp.

Check out the Trutone One Spot Pro power supplies. They are unique in the sense that you have access to the entire power budget of the unit rather than just what each particular outlet is rated for, all while maintaining isolation.
For example, if you have something that is 12v and needs 1.3 amps and something that is 9v and needs 500ma, you can plug into a 12v, 100ma outlet and a 9v 200ma outlet and have all the power you need as long as the overall power available in the unit is at least 1.8 amps. |

According to Mike from Boomerang (before the company was sold) it’s ok to use 9v 500mA power. You don’t “need” 700mA. Rang FAQ also keeps it generic- ‘Always OK 1) 9VAC, 500 to 1500mA 2) 9VDC positive tip, 500 to 1000mA“ Hope this helps. http://www.voodoolab.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1730

I dont know about the Helix but I'm using a Cioks DC7 on my acoustic board. High power and each output can be set to 9, 12,15, or 18v.

thank Varmonter for the thread.
I am still getting used to the Stomp and like the idea of a power block to eliminate the adapter. When the power block says you need to use the doubler cable, am I correct that you need to regular lines out of the Strymon into a Y cable that has the correct end for the HX/Line6 pedals? |

Ordered a Strymon Zuma R300 and the cables to power the Rang III & HX Stomp.
