T5z neck
After exhaustive search, I’m def staying with Taylor.
I’m disabled, Taylor told me to ck the neck of the T5z. Love the neck, unsure about a hybrid. Just sold my Michael Kelly. Is it a great guitar? Met the man who invented it today, he retired from Taylor and has a shop in St Petersburg Fl. (seven C) He has a NO Return Policy. |

I have a T5z and love it for what it is. It is an OK acoustic and a really versatile electric. With the profile of a Les Paul and an “electric” neck it is a real players guitar.

I mean if you are looking at a T5, you should also look at an Anderson Crowdster. Similar design, but many love them. I thought the T5 was a solid instrument when I've played them. Good luck with the search!

Never had one, but understand they have a humbucker under the fretboard extension - you said you had an issue with electronics. Just fyi.

I have a regular T5...great guitar, but it needs to be plugged in; you won’t get much volume or tone if you don’t...

The man who built it, David from Seven C Music said I could play it unplugged great or just thru a reg PA. I doubt that. No electrics for me.
Looking for a Taylor cut-away that plays warmer (wood) than my 214e. with that type of thin carve neck. I’ll likely need to BTO it. Appreciate comments on wood. |
