Default SOLD...Larrivee Snakewood Special Edition L-09 - Closet Queen!

SOLD plus any expenses. (I know folks scan for the price first...)

I bought this last year with funds from my 34 year old Martin D12-28. It has never left the house; always stays in my humidity-controlled office, where I can enjoy it....carefully! Frankly, I'm afraid of dinging it up.

This is a beautiful special run made for the 12th Fret - check out the link which provides photos and an MP3 of this actual guitar (be sure to select #2 of the 6 shown). http://www.12fret.com/new/Larrivee_S...9_C-09_pg.html

Here are the specs:
Larrivee Snakewood Limited Edition L-09
* 1 3/4" nut width
* 6 total made (3 non-cut and 3 cutaway)
* bound ebony fingerboard with micro-dot markers
* bound Snakewood peghead overlay
* mother-of-pearl peghead logo inlay
* one piece tropical mahogany neck
* hand fit dovetail neck joint
* precision Gotoh 510 tuners with 1:21 ratio and brushed brass finish (REALLY nice tuners!!!)
* bookmatched Sitka spruce top
* clear mylar pickguard
* Snakewood body binding
* reissue mosaic soundhole rosette
* hand signed and numbered Alan Magee label
* Indian rosewood back and sides
* 16" lower bout dimension
* 4 1/2" deep sides at end pin area
* 2 1/4" string spacing at bridge
* ebony belly bridge
* intonation compensated bone saddle
* deluxe arched top case

I've posted a few pics below taken yesterday and there are over 100 photos from all angles to be seen at Photobucket>>>>http://s1233.photobucket.com/albums/...ial%20Edition/

I would put the guitar at a solid 99%. There are a couple of very light hairline scratches (presumably from string ends) on the headstock and two very light hairline scratches on the back. All of these are superficial and would polish out easily - they do not penetrate the gloss finish at all. You can see photos of these in the online album - they are very hard to catch with my digital camera.

Light setup for fingerstyle and a wonderful, rich tone. Currently I have it strung with EXP 80/20 strings in light 12s.

When I got the guitar from the previous owner I removed the undersaddle pickup and replaced it with my favorite - the JJB Prestige #330 from Jesse at Prestige Electronics. It sounded much better through my home amp than the original B-Band.

Please PM me with any questions or for a specific photo angle I haven't covered in the Photobucket Album. Price is firm and no trades at this point. Thanks for checking it out! Enjoy this eye-candy for now....

I have to agree. I think Larrivees are underrated by many and this one is visually top shelf.

Thanks guys - I appreciate the support! It's a common tale, but if the "Heart Guitar" build wasn't on its way soon, this one would have a permanent home.

....I'd just have to ding it up first, so I could take it out without breaking a sweat!

I was purchaser of Ross's 1977 Martin D12-28 last year. Great guitar, but much better person...pleasure to deal with. Can't wait to see the "Heart Guitar" photo's when available. Good luck on the sale!!! I now have two Larrivee's. The most underrated guitar on the market. (In My Opinion) -Pete

Well.....I didn't want to force you by doing this - I hate to see someone buy the guitar just to get one of these, so I'll phrase it this way:

Buy this nice leather original Larrivee 2-1/2" wide guitar strap for $1500, and I'll throw in the L-09 Snakewood Special for free!
