Golden Gate Thumb picks -- help me figure out which size I already use!
Hi - I've used Golden Gate thumb picks for decades now, and I've been working through a large stash I bought ages ago. I went to buy more online and I realized that I don't know if I use the medium or large thumb picks, and there is no easy way to tell from pictures of the picks online.
If you have a GG thumb pick, either ivoroid or pearloid, and you know which size you use, would you mind letting me know what dimensions it is? Mine have a long-axis dimension of about 1.25", are about .6" high (when the flat part is flat on the table), and the "hole" is about .5" by .7". I think they are mediums... I know I can pop into a shop to check, and I would prefer to support a local shop, but, you know, pandemic and all. Thanks! |

The ‘Large’ GG Ivoroid thumbpicks I have are 1-3/8” long, 11/16” high, and the thumb-hole is ~7/8” x 17/32”.

Hard to measure these exactly. Jaybee's measurements match my large GGs, so it looks like you have mediums. Well, you don't have large, anyway.

Thanks -- that seems to answer it!
