Default Time travel and aliens......

This is not a serious thread, even though my ideas are brillant

I have solved the riddle of time travel and aliens.

1. If there is Time travel where are they?. I have decided that time is a wave, not a particle or a combination of both like light. In order to time travel you have to be from the leading wave (which we are on). There can be no time travel until the first wave figures out how to do it and because we are on the first wave, no one can visit us from the future, as there is no future ahead of the first wave. Problem solved,

2. Aliens - where are they? Ever see those movies where the advanced civilization comes visiting? Well, someone has to be the most advanced in the universe. It's us. We are the advanced aliens. In so much as we don't have warp drive or an equivalent fast than light form of propulsion yet, we aren't going to be saying "resistance is futile" to anyone anytime soon. Problem solved.

Any theories you have that you are too embarrassed to say out loud?

Einstein’s relativity theory is pretty much fact by now. so yes, I do believe that time travel is possible. Maybe not time travel to the past, but definitely into the future.

As for aliens...as Agent Mulder used to say: “the truth is out there”. [emoji38]

Someone once asked me if I tend to live in the past.

I said -"I used to..."

Aliens are amongst us, but they are not super intelligent.

They are the dumb twits, that have been dumped on this planet to be put out of harm's way.

You can see them everywhere. They wander around lost in time and space staring at little tablets, and ignoring cars, bikes other people, and often their own children.

Alternatively, you can see them clinging on the back end of aeroplane wings .... or is that ailerons?

Oh, well.

My wife always says aliens are amongst us. They dress as dogs because they know we will willingly accept them into our homes, expose them to our deepest secrets and never question anything they do.

A few years ago I wrote a book about manipulating time called 'One man and his story'. I thought about trying to get it published but it's not that good......... and I can always go back to it if I want.............

Well Barry, I’m glad you straightened this out. It’s been bugging me for years!

This is so much more relevant to me than trying to figure out what a Tonerite really does, or whether round core strings are sonically superior to hex core. Thanks for the smile this morning and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Best,

Rick

There is a scientific, statistical hypothesis regarding the infrequency that intelligent (us, really?) life might develop that leads to the case of us being the only one in the universe.
As for your time travel idea, sounds kind of like a wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey ball of...stuff.

“We have met the aliens, and they is us.” Apologies to Walt Kelly...

I thought space was curved. And I have heard that we are rounding the curve.

I think all the intelligent life is hiding somewhere...maybe in time, or maybe just in someone’s basement or closet.

Time Travel is easy get off any of the interstate highways and travel down the rural roads in Idaho, Wyoming, or Utah and you may find yourself in circa 1950's

Certainly not in plain sight these days, that's for sure.

In September of 2018 my wife and I went to Ireland. We left Providence, RI, on Saturday night at about 8pm. We arrived at Shannon Airport at 7:30 am on Sunday morning. It was a 5 and a half hour flight. We traveled forward in time about 6+ hours. Yeah, I know it was all about time zones and our artificial assignment of them to make things more convenient, but I still feel like we traveled forward in time.

We did the same thing coming home, only backwards.

I've often heard that we will someday be contacted by aliens but then started to wonder, "Why?"

I mean, what is so special about us that would even interest another species who've figured out how to travel faster than light ...

Yeah, we're probably so far behind they'll probably just fly on past looking for more interesting folks to visit.

As for time travel, I got nuthin'

From the American perspective, the Battle of Midway in WWII was fought by pilots who took off from their aircraft carriers today, dropped their bombs on their opponents' aircraft carriers tomorrow, and landed back on their own aircraft carriers yesterday.

From the Japanese perspective, their pilots took off from their aircraft carriers today, dropped their bombs on their opponents' aircraft carrier yesterday, and crash-landed in the sea near the burning wrecks of their own aircraft carriers tomorrow.

The Battle of Midway was the only one in history that was fought across the International Date Line.

Sort that one.
