McPherson 4.5 ES/CP Striped Macassar Ebony & Port Orford Cedar- Dealer Post
https://youtu.be/5GLmb-vzPMs
IMG_1302.jpg I love this wood combination. Port Orford Cedar is actually in the Cypress family, but tonally it resembles a Spruce with the added warmth of Cedar. It’s very sensitive and articulate, but not afraid of a heavy attack. It’s perfect for bare finger-stylists that require more volume. It also works beautifully for rhythm work, rolling chords together like warm dough. The striped Macassar Ebony is even more stunning. The contrast between the stripes is mesmerizing, and that little strip of sapwood near the bookmatch tops it all off. Sonically, it reflects a lot of overtones, with a dark intensity reminiscent of Brazilian Rosewood. The guitar has a big, full voice and plays effortlessly. The notes are round, defined, and balanced. This is one of the most intimate sound Mcphersons I’ve ever played. It pulls you in. It’s a fingerstyle/rhythm guitar built for long voyages over open water. $14,000.00 CONTACT US!
