Default Neck Gap

had my new WD neck installed by my local shop after I botched it on my Stat project. There is a gap that maybe I could fill with some sort of product? The neck is seated great to the body--

Perhaps the gap is more visible because the pocket is unfinished/unstained? If stained the same color I think it would not likely be very noticable.

the body has been finished with 2 coats of Tru Oil and sanded smooth. I could use some more on that area, good idea.

I would try the Tru Oil. I might also try to smooth the curve out gently with a couple of light passes with sandpaper. Anything else would very possibly look worse than leaving it alone.

2 coats of Tru Oil is not very much protection, but I do like the color.

Forget about it, Bob. Unless this is a commissioned museum piece, there is nothing wrong with that guitar. Prior to the advent of CNC machinery that’s what the neck pockets looked like across the board in the music world. . If you say the neck is flush and seated correctly in the pocket then this becomes nothing more than a scar or beauty mark, same as on a human being. Individuality is what makes things beautiful.

Bob, what a fantastic job! Like others said I wouldn't worry about it.
