Of course the new amp is not even available to make the comparison yet, so the question can only elicit a response of an “in general” comparison of speaker quality of CP8 to Tannoy.

Thank you for your posts, you have been a big help to many of us here on the AGF!
QSC are among the best speaker of the market. For me the TC helicon amp looks like a Bugera acoustic amp paired with a TC helicon pedal.

My personal opinion is that the QSC will easily sound better than a Bugera amp... as it easily sound better than most acoustic amp (even higher end)

Not to get too off topic but I agree, you don’t get much better than QSC. I still feel like the CP line are a massive bargain and not just because they are a more affordable line. IMO, they sound just like the original k series, which I am pretty sure they are. I feel like QSC wanted to release the k.2 line but not fully discontinue the original k speakers so they came out with the cp series. I am personally a fan of the original k series vs the k.2 line so I am loving the cp speakers. I now own two k12’s, a k10 and a cp8. Hoping to get a cp12 soon.

Really odd product launch. They have two videos and no sound samples yet. Makes me scratch my head a little.

Same with the NuX Optima Air. They have some great demo videos, but you can’t buy it anywhere. The product was launched and advertised in the USA months ago and way before its USA release. And no mention of when.

Must be a COVID-19 thing. Odd times we live in.

Why don't you try to make your IR without in the meantime?

It's free!

That’s my Plan, but I still need a tool to play it through. I like the feature set of this pedal. Three band EQ, a decent sounding reverb, 1/4” out and XLR out.

Check out the:
Two notes torpedo CAB M+ (It's French!)

The "+" firmware update added new reverb choices & tweakability and an internal volume setting that fixes the signal/noise ratio problem. The only problem is it uses 12V DC supply. It has all the EQ you need.

If you buy a second-hand one, you won't loose much while waiting for the NUX. I also have a NUX NSS-5 (that I paid €40!!).

I use the two notes mostly for testing and IR developpement because it has a display, pots and a good headphone amp...

The NUX NSS-5 is on my pedalboard. Before the Two-notes firmware update it had the better signal/noise ratio. Also it worked on 9V and had a ON/OFF switch. The verdugo plateform is nice. I might try the Optima AIR once you find them second hand.
