The Handing Down (in new recording space!)

Hi all

Having moved house last week and got out from under the mountain of boxes I managed to carve out and set up some space for my recording (and working apparently..) I had made some extra acoustic panels and also brought my two large previously owned ones into play to get some fairly decent acoustics in this small room.

I haven't used my mics for quite some time, having mostly recorded in the garden with the Zoom over the past few months - I had forgotten how sensitive these things are to noise (particularly string squeaks..)

I love this piece of Ed's and it's quite challenging to get a nice tone and fluidity as he does so well.

I'm always amazed at how you can memorize those long pieces.

I have played the earlier parts so many times as I try and learn it and then even more times as I try to record it, that they are burned into my brain!
