Kevin
i have to say the guitar that you put on the opening of this thread is probably the finest instrument of ANY kind i have ever seen in my life ( and i am nearly 60 and been playing for over 50 years so seen a hell of a lot of guitars). i think you should put those same photos on your website as well. I seriously envy anyone who has one of your guitars and wish i could see one in the flesh. Sadly, for me, that is unlikely ever to happen due to my location. If i ever come in to some serious money the first telephone call i would make would be to you to place an order !!! |

Should have this one shipped out as soon as the final balance is paid. Then on to the next one.

Kevin, I kind of get tired writing "That's beautiful!!", but...That's beautiful!!
You really do exquisite work, and it is a pleasure to see it. One day I'll get to a show where you're exhibiting. Need to play one of these!

I agree Mike, simply stunning, and with everything going on here, I think the inlays on the back of the neck that have been shown are my favorite feature even though the rest are outstanding as well!

How I would love to Kevin. However i live on a small Island in the Mediterranean and it would probably cost me about as much as buying one of your superb instruments.i can only hope one day that my ship comes in financially .LOL

Getting the last payment on this EVA UM coming in. I'll be posting pics of it as soon as I get them finished.
In the meantime, here is the next Headstock Leopard I'll be doing. I've got a few more of these to do, if your interested I'll be offering an inlay of such as no charge with all orders through 4/4/16 (each one is different). Its a great addition to a super nice guitar. Have a great day! Kevin. |

Id like to thank JR Rogers for the 'Founders Choice Award' on my EVA UM guitar. Here is a facebook link https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...79869427261007
Looking forward to the future! Here are pics of the very last EVA UM I've completed. I will put up more pics and maybe a camera phone vid of some people playing it! Kevin. |

This is another image showing the beveled segmented rosette. This gets complicated, but in the end, it looks great. Very unique.
This is the middle guitar at Santa Barbara Here is the back...this is walnut. Its part of the recipe! It really is. Phil Heywood demoing my EVA UM... More to come. Kevin. Last edited by KevinLPederson; 11-25-2016 at 03:12 PM. |

Congratulations, Kevin! This is an award justly earned. Your EVA-UM guitar is perhaps THE best representative of the ultra-modern acoustic guitar. Truly a work of art. And last year at Memphis, I discovered that this guitar sounds as good as it looks. It's a stunner, from start to finish. You have really achieved a pinnacle of art and design here.
J.R. obviously has excellent taste, in picking this guitar for this year's Founders Choice award. It's a pretty crowded field of competitors, many of them world-class; but the EVA-UM definitely stands tall above the mainstream. Well done!

I can say that JR is correct in revealing that many of the builders came over and not only looked it over but really tapped on it, played it, and asked me a lot of questions about it. A couple guys, man, they examined it up and down...the only thing I didn't let them do was look inside. I heard some pretty trippy comments from some well known guys. Sounds tacky to repeat them here - so I won't - but with awesome edification, I am starting to realize I've got a real player here, and I'm going to push ahead full steam. Thanks Steven. |
