Default Schoeps CMC641 Pair / Ryan Nightingale Recording

Here is another recording using the Schoeps with the Zoom H4n. Trying also to improve the overall YT video appearance.

It sounds great. On my headphones it leans to the left a bit.

Thanks! I also noticed the audio was a bit out of sync.

You, and the recording, are sounding really nice.

Rick
Do you mean the two tracks were not aligned?

Yes, but just slightly. In Logic, you can right click on the track, choose edit/move/and either nudge left or right. You can also choose the nudge value, so I chose 1/64 for fine adjustments. It is a cool feature in Logic.

What do you use for video editing? I just use Final Cut, and it aligns video and audio, usually perfectly. But I'm not sure if you mean audio synched to video, or between left and right. I didn't see any issue tho, and to me, the left right seem balanced within what's expected with spaced pairs (which can often be slightly unstable)

Doug, for lack of better terminology, I aligned/synchronized the audio to video within Logic, but I just use iMovie for vid editing. I wish I had Final Cut Pro, I hear it is easier than Adobe vid editing software, but……..yet another thing to have to buy, soooooo…. After Effects and Premier seem too confusing.

When I was talking about nudging left/right, I was referring to aligning the audio to the video to synchronize it.

I know there may be better ways to do it, but that is just what I have learned to do up to this point.

Ah, got it. It's usually not too hard to do manually, tho I've been spoiled by Final Cut just doing it for me, even aligning multiple camera and multiple audio tracks

That was wonderful. I think you are in the “zone” with these mics Rick.
