Mic issue
Any mic repair/techs out there in AGF land
I got an AKG 414 that is making a popping noise. Is almost sounds like an electronic click track. Sometimes it's steady like a click, sometimes it’s random. It’s plugged into a great river pre and I have plugged in other phantom power mics and all is good with them. Need to find a good repair shop around Asheville.

We sent our early AKG C451e mics to this guy and his work was great:
LAND AUDIO SERVICES [email protected] 615-338-4443 He's located in Hendersonville, TN, is the former manager of AKG USA, and is a Certified AKG Condenser Microphone Specialist. Are you located around an airport? Sometimes radar creates a tick, sometimes a sort of intermittent buzz that fades in and out as it sweeps. Bob
