NGD - American Pro II Telecaster
So, I wound up returning an archtop I had ordered and started goofing around looking at teles for sale and came across this one - a 2021 American Pro II in Miami blue. Decent weight for alder - about 7 1/2 pounds. The color does not photograph well. Photos more blue than the bright blue/green it is. I received it today, changed the strings and did a setup on it. Nice tele. I had been wanting an official Fender tele.
Now, I am done for a long while. Last edited by TiffanyGuitar; 01-26-2022 at 07:14 PM. |

Congrats! I tried a bunch of guitars but I am always drawn to a Telecaster. Great looking guitar you have there!

You’re right TG, the photo doesn’t do the color of this guitar justice. They have it at the local GuitarCenter and it is stunning in real life!
You needed the sister guitar to your Stratocaster Pro II? Bahahaha!

Agree, nice color combo with the white 'guard and maple 'board.
And neck pickup, tone knob to taste, clean amp -- and a microphone may "see" a "jazz box" electrified archtop sound-wise.

Very nice. One thing I have found with a good Tele is that you can't ever be better than the guitar - it can do anything you can do, and more. There is always something else you can pull out of it - or that it can pull out of you.

Very cool. I love that Fender has gone back to the classic bridge style on most of their guitars — it just looks right. Enjoy!

Very nice Tele!
I like the new Fender Pro II Teles and Strats. I got a Pro II Strat last year. Very, very nice guitar! Pickups are great, the fretboard is wonderful. - Glenn

I think the American Pro II series are the best standard series Fender has done in a really, really long time. I am not much of a strat guy, but mine is a keeper. And this Tele is really nice. Not sure if I like the push/push pot on the Tele. It is a really “loose” feeling pot. But if I decide I don’t like that, I can do the work to swap it.

Congrats. I have the same Pro II Tele as well in butterscotch, as well as a Pro II jazz bass.
I love the feel of the neck and the rolled edges on them. Just incredibly comfortable to play. |
