Default Ideas for a good mid-priced guitar?

I have 2 guitars made by Tom Sands, and one by Stefan Sobell (all of which I will hold on to for the foreseeable future) but I've just sold my beater (A Gibson J35) so I have nothing at a lower level at the moment...clearly that needs to change!

A was thinking perhaps small slot-head (a Martin 00-28vs or a Brook Lynn) or perhaps a D28, or perhaps a Yamaha LL26...key thing is it needs to be different from what I have!

I want to spend up to c. £1000-1500, preferably used (but doesn't have to be) so when I get tired of it I won't lose too much when I sell it on.

I want hoping to crowdsource some ideas for something that might be interesting/quirky for me to try...thoughts?

That kind of restrictive price range makes it difficult to suggest quality options but you can try an Avian. Although they r out of business now, used ones are sometimes available and there are likely to be still a couple of shops that still have some new unsold ones.

Maybe a used Lakewood or Furch/Stonebridge?
Seems like you'd be able to find one of those on that side of the pond.
I know Paramount has a used Lakewood A14 (with a good demo video) at that price point (1550 USD)

Used Avalon, a Furch. I just heard about Dowina that most who have played them against Furch say their very similar at a lower cost. I purchased a Dowina here that will be in Monday. I'll let you know how good it is, or not. They are hand-made, all solid-wood and cheap.

Well, I'm gassing for a Furch Blue, cedar over hog. I think new they are US$1,375 approximately.

I think your thoughts on a used LL26 are in a good direction. A lot of value for your money there, especially at a used price...

go with either a Martin Road Series acoustic/electric or a Taylor 100 series acoustic/electric or the Taylor 200 series acoustic/electric new and I think in your price range

I think a Yamah A5 would be good.

If you want to do used, bet you could find a nice used Furch in that range depending on body shape.

The Yamaha LL-26 would be my choice.
I just got a new LL-16-12 and love it.
The LL-26 should be even better and some of them have a beautiful binding.

For that money, I second a high end Dowina. My low end (€300) ons is absolutely great... So I can only imagine what a 1000€ Dowina sounds like, haha
