So, that plus the 10% Trade Up credit made this a $1,550 net deal for me. Jumped on it. The shipping clock is ticking and I'm watching it.

Again, I appreciate all of the comments.
WOW, that's a shockingly high offer from GC! The one near me would never offer anything close to that amount!

Congrats and enjoy your new guitar.

I can hear the manager-to-minion conversation now: “You gave him HOW MUCH for a little plastic guitar?”

That was a great deal, and one you quickly jumped on!

I've talked with GC a time or twelve about making a trade, but couldn't take that kind of beating. I never thought about trying a different GC for a "second opinion."

My music partner enjoys the buying/selling/trading thing - I brought some stuff I wanted to sell when we got together this past winter... in the course of a couple weeks, he sold 2 guitars, two mixers, and an amp for me. And he had fun with the process.

Even better that you have a friend that enjoys selling your stuff!!

I have no such friend unfortunately and find selling to be a pita.

Tracking indicates it will arrive tomorrow. After I get it in my hands, I'll post the rest of the story.

The Sable is home now. Still very happy with my deal.

The interesting story is GC has listed the X7 for $2,600.99. The exact guitar is $2,245 new on Emerald’s website. Amazing.

They probably don't know the difference between the Xs, and comped it to an X20 or something.

Well, if GC gets what they are asking for, they made $1000. That is a win-win for literally everybody!

Imagine the scenario: a person walks into the Plano store that doesn't know a thing about Emerald guitars, sees that X7 and is like, "wow, what an interesting and beautiful guitar." Then they pick it up (probably will be hung up high so they will need to have an associate bring it down), and love at first strum... oh, and it is sooo comfy too.

Stranger things have happened, heck there was a whole series on Netflix

Anything is possible I guess....including it hanging high locked up forever at that price! Lol

Most people are smart enough to do a quick search on manufacturers site to realize that Used Guitar is priced $500 higher than an equivalent brand new one.

Default Under the heading of amazing

My X7 that I traded at GC is sold. Wish I knew the sales price. They had it listed for $2,699.
