Guitar and Concert Choir
Hey all, a few years ago I had the incredible opportunity to perform a relatively unknown work for concert choir and guitar - Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Romancero Gitano Op.152. It uses text from the eminent Spanish poet Garcia Lorca.
The Aranjuez and Vivaldi’s lute concerto get a lot of stage time, but I think this work is far-too underplayed. Here is a video of two of my favorite movements - IV. Procesion and VI. Baile. Has anyone here played any similar works? Thanks for watching, and enjoy! https://youtu.be/OyyzUEF43TY |

So many treasures in the Tedesco oeuvre. Here's yet another one. Thanks for making me aware of it. Nice playing.
I love his orchestral and dramatic approach to the guitar. |
