Default String keeps breaking?

I have an Epiphone SST nylon string electric guitar. It is similar to the Gibson Chet Atkins guitar. The high e string keep breaking and I'm unsure as to why. To be clear, it's breaking when not being played. I'll restring it and put in on the rack and a week later the string is broken. Any ideas on what may cause this? Perhaps a rough nut or saddle?

Where on the strings are the breaks occurring?

If you play it right the first time, it's not hard enough.

It appears to be breaking near the bridge.

I'd look at a burr on the saddle or bridge near the ties as the source of the string break.

It only takes a small sharp edge to cut / degrade the string.
