Default Custom build Maple

Ok, I am building my 5th acoustic guitar, this time I am going to get a little creative, I have built the back and sides from birds eye maple and the top from cedar. The finger board is going to be figured Ziricote.
I want the neck to match the body so does anyone know if I can use a maple neck or will that be too heavy?

I have a couple of acoustic guitars with maple necks. Not too heavy for me.

Go for it. Use light weight tuners if the balance is off.

use a softer maple like red for the neck and stay away from sugar maple, very dense and heavy.
