Hi Bronzeback!

Thanks for listening and for taking the time to comment here! And how cool that you know this song so well! That would be fun to have 20-30 people singing along with you on a song everyone knows so well! How cool is that! That must have been fun!

Also, I'm glad you like that old D-35. It has been a workhorse!

Thanks again for your thoughts and comments!

The Boxer

I was 15 when S and G released the Central Park album. And with it I learned to play the guitar. I remember how I struggled with "The Boxer" until I finally managed to play it, but not as well as you, Glenn. Nicely done.

Hi Zelig!

Thanks for your comments and thoughts! It's really interesting that so many guitar players have learned to play this song! I'm glad you can enjoy playing it, too!

Thumbs up

Hi Glenn, Fantastic singing and playing! The harmony was spot on! I enjoyed watching and hearing this song.

I’ve also watched your other YouTube videos and enjoyed all the John Denver songs you did. I’m familiar with all except 1 of them. Great Job!

Just wondering. Do you perform in public places or at gigs?

Hi Cool,

Thanks so much for your comments! I'm really pleased that you liked how my version of the BOXER came out. Thank you for taking the time to comment here!

Regarding performing, at one time, 25-40 years ago, I was doing a lot of public performance, much of it for money. These days I do a whole lot less, but I still do get up in public once in a while and do a performance.

I do the YouTube thing because it keeps my hand in music, it keeps me active. And I can stay active with music, yet I don't have to go sell myself to anyone except for the people on YouTube. If they don't listen for very long, I don't hear them click off and start messing with their phones. I like it when people like what I do, but if they are indifferent, I just move on to the next song. Some songs people seem to like a lot, some they just don't care very much about. Or, maybe I just don't do the songs justice, who knows.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment.

- Glenn
