That's really nice. Love the pernambuco. Looks like you did not use snakewood for the fretboard. Why not?

Hi, Sorry I don't have any sound samples, maybe sometime in the future when I get around to setting up my mics and going through the recording process, not to mention my mediocre playing!
The tone of this guitar has opened up into a very full, resonant quality. I don't have a lot of experiences playing other quality nylon string guitars, so I can't offer any comparisons to other woods like Brazilian, for example. I'm very happy with the volume, tone, and responsiveness of the Pernambuco and the 45+ year old German Spruce top.
I decided against using Snakewood for the fretboard because I wanted the instrument to maintain a fairly traditional appearance and thought Snakewood for a fretboard would just be too much for me.
Ever since photo bucket added fees for use, I've never posted another picture of anything.
I've commissioned a McKnight Lowlander in Pernambuco and German Spruce coming up early next year. I expect to post a thread once that is underway.
I hope that answers everyone's questions!

Can't wait for sound samples. I'm a friend of Darren's and he's super cool and easy to talk and deal with!
