Default Half Nashville Tuning

OK, I am unfamiliar with Nashville and Half Nashville Tuning. I know Nashville Tuning is the bottom 4 strings up an octave, but what exactly is Half Nashville Tuning? I want to play "Cherish" by Pat Metheny and can't quite figure out the tuning to begin with. I don't want to damage my guitar.

According to another forum, it is this:

A - D - G* - C* - E - A

* These strings are tuned an octave above.

I think that his baritone guitar was probably set up to handle those higher octave strings. I do love that One Quiet Night CD.

Best,
Jayne

AFAIK, that's the correct tuning for Pat's Baritone.

There's some really cool sounds available going up with the middle strings, or even just the D string.
