What kind of electronics are there in it? I'd be curious to hear what kind of sounds it can produce.

Thanks for that . I bet it sounds great. As for a pickguard, unless you play a nylon string guitar the way Willie Nelson does, who needs a pickguard? Fingernails sound great.

I suppose pickguards are also a matter of esthetics. Like: "If it is shaped like a strat or tele, it looks wrong without a 'guard". I just think that it would be a pity to hide a nice piece of wood, unless you really have to.
